My name is Tien Tran and I live in Warwick, Rhode Island, where I make a living as a public librarian. Some years ago I discovered that, with the aid of scholarly notes and languages tools, I could teach myself to read Tang poems, which are lauded to such an extent. At some point I turned to translating poems for my own benefit. I'm glad that I did, because study of the poems has deepened my own wonder and appreciation for this remarkable poetic tradition. This blog is mostly a record of these efforts. I also write some poetry on my own, and hope to post more of my own writings in the future. If you have questions or want to chat, the best way to contact me is via email at suoitien {at} outlook {dot} com. Thank you for reading my blog.
